The ongoing dispute between the ÖVP and the FPÖ over revelations in connection with the "election campaign committee" is entering the next round. The ÖVP identifies "sham offers" from an agency close to the FPÖ. The Freedom Party opposes this and points out that an agency close to the ÖVP is said to have received more than four times as much money - for the same services.

The committee of inquiry into "red-blue abuse of power" has not yet lived up to its name. As reported several times, the ÖVP has focused almost exclusively on the Freedom Party in the summonses and investigations.

Dispute over social media advertising
After chats about how FPÖ leaders have distributed tax money to right-wing media, there is now also a dispute about social media advertising. The ÖVP, led by U-Committee parliamentary group leader Andreas Hanger, suspects that the FPÖ issued fake invoices in order to "quietly and secretly" extend the contract with an agency close to it, which took care of the Ministry of the Interior's social media advertising. Karner "will already know why"
"If you compare the payments made to the two agencies in 2018 with the advertising volume managed by them, it becomes clear that the ÖVP-affiliated agency collected more than four times as much for comparable services in 2018 alone," criticized FPÖ Secretary General Christian Hafenecker, referring to several parliamentary question responses.

"Usurious contract"
They will get to the bottom of this "usurious contract" and have all tender and contract documents sent to them via parliamentary questions. The ÖVP Minister of the Interior Karner had not provided the investigative committee with any precise documentation. "He will know why," says Hafenecker ...
