Gone for five days: brothers search for Christian
Christian Stadler was last seen on Friday evening, since when the 36-year-old from Stübing in Styria has been missing. His brothers suspect he is in the forest, where they are desperately searching for him. They ask for information and say a few words to their beloved brother Christian.
The last time he was seen was by a work colleague. He brought Christian Stadler home on Friday evening and could still see him walking in the door. The next day came as a shock: the 36-year-old didn't show up at the family party. So his two brothers drove to the single man's house in Stübing. They found it locked and with the car in the driveway - but there was no trace of their brother.
The hiking boots had also disappeared
"The only thing we noticed was that his hiking boots were missing," says his older brother Thomas Stadler. "That's why we assume that he wanted to walk through the forest to his parents' house, which is only a good hour away." They immediately made their way to the wooded area where they suspected their beloved brother was.
At first, only friends and family helped with the search, but soon over 60 people were involved. "Christian is a quiet person, but he was very well known in the village," says his brother. Firefighters and search dogs also joined in, and the search area was finally extended towards Gleinalm, where hikers suspected they had seen him.
"Please give us a brief sign of life"
But there is still no trace of the young Styrian. The police are still looking for clues to Stadler's disappearance, and his brothers also ask that anyone with the slightest observation contact 133. Thomas Stadler addressed desperate words to Christian himself: "Please give us a brief sign of life and tell us that you are okay."
