Prince William is no longer the most popular royal

Until now, Prince William (41) was considered the most popular royal - but now there has been a change of throne.

In the popularity ranking of the opinion research institute "Yougov", the current most popular royal has been knocked off the throne.

Prince William is no longer the most popular member of the royal family. His approval ratings have fallen from 77 to 73 percent.

Kate is the most popular royal
He has now been replaced by his wife, Princess Kate, at the top of the list. The 42-year-old made her cancer diagnosis public in March. According to "Yougov", 76 percent of respondents in the United Kingdom had a positive attitude towards the future Queen. That is two points more than in the last survey in February.

The popularity of King Charles, who also has cancer, has fallen by four points. With 63 percent approval, he is now in fourth place. And that is behind his sister Anne, who has 71 percent. His wife Camilla is in 6th place.

Prince Andrew brings up the rear as royal
The survey results also show the ongoing challenges for Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, who are only viewed positively by 31% and 26% of respondents respectively. The royal tail light is the scandalous Prince Andrew. 86 percent have a poor opinion of him.

In general, younger people tend to have a negative attitude towards the royal family. Only a third of 18 to 24-year-olds think the monarchy is good, compared to almost 80 percent of over 65-year-olds.
