Imst prepares for its future in soccer
SC Imst's big dream is the 2nd division! The stadium is already in place in the Oberland town, and now they are also working on the team. With 27-year-old Benjamin Kraft, they have already landed a player who will still be playing for the Hall "Lions" until the summer break.
Only four rounds have been played in the Regionalliga West this spring - and the future has already begun. On Tuesday, SC Imst announced their first summer signing, 27-year-old Benjamin Kraft. In order to prevent, as manager Martin Schneebauer explained, that the desired player ends up with the competition.
Hall is angry
And the dynamic defensive player from Germany is definitely a desired player. Imst had already reached an agreement with Kraft a year ago before he was drawn to Hall. And in winter, the "Lions" vetoed another offer from the Oberland. Now "We're not happy to let him go," admitted Hall coach Acif Güclü. In a discussion on Tuesday, Kraft assured the Hall coach that he would give his all for the "Lions" until the end of the season.
First, however, we are eagerly awaiting Friday.

Looking ahead to Friday
Kraft is the first step towards strengthening the Imst team. After all, the Oberland team has not yet given up on second place in the regional league (and thus possibly promotion to league two). Five points behind Hohenems. Austria Salzburg is wobbling. "But first we're eagerly awaiting Friday," says Schneebauer. That's when the Bundesliga will announce this year's licensing decisions, including whether Imst are ready on paper for admission to the second-highest league. Apart from the Tyroleans, only leaders Austria Salzburg have applied for a license - the Violets from the city of Mozart are confident, but everything is not yet in the bag. Should Salzburg fail, Imst will at least be prepared to step in.
