Transfer to Qatar: “Financial incentive is great”
Volleyball ace Paul Buchegger is moving to Qatar for five weeks "Financially, of course, it's a great incentive, so I can now earn some extra money," he admits.
Yesterday he left Sardinia, where he provided moral support to his girlfriend Dana Schmit in the sporting relegation battle, for Rome and from there on to Doha. The capital of Qatar will be the new home of volleyball team player Paul Buchegger for the next five weeks. "As the season is already over for me, this was of course a welcome offer," says the Upper Austrian, who, after finishing 12th with Catania in Italy, recently played an invitational tournament in Dubai for two weeks and has now been invited to the host country of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
"Great incentive"
"Financially, of course, it's a great incentive, so I can now earn some extra money," admits Buchegger openly, explaining that the main reason for the move is, of course, the lovely "Marie". "I've never been there before, I don't know what to expect. All the clubs aren't represented on social media either. So my expectations are limited. But as I've also had good experiences in Dubai, it will certainly suit me," said the second-highest scorer in Serie A.
He has made a name for himself with his performances in Italy and was able to secure a contract with top club Modena.
