Separation in the royal family
Peter Phillips: Separation in the British royal family
As if the British royal family didn't have enough to worry about with the health problems of King Charles III and Princess Kate, it has now been revealed that one of the most solid relationships in the Royal Family to date has broken down.
The son of Princess Anne (73), Peter Phillips (46), is said to have split up with his girlfriend Lindsay Wallace (43). Several British media outlets, including "The Sun", have reported that the couple are now going their separate ways after three years together.
Queen's favorite grandson single again
The Queen's grandson, who recently spoke in an interview about the late monarch's last moments with the family, had started dating his old girlfriend Wallace after his divorce from Autumn Phillips in 2021.
However, the 46-year-old, who was considered the late Queen's favorite grandson, is said to be single again. The couple have now gone their separate ways.
Phillips is said to have been "constantly" on the go
A friend of Princess Anne's son and Lindsay Wallace previously told "Hello!" that Peter Phillips was said to be "constantly" on the go due to his work commitments.
"Peter and Lindsay made the difficult decision to separate as they were spending less time together due to work and family commitments," it said. "Peter's business commitments and his work in Formula One meant he was traveling non-stop," the source said. "Peter has been traveling all over the world and incredibly busy, and Lindsay lives in Scotland, so it's been difficult for them to see each other."
Separation was "a shock"
Lindsay Wallace had accompanied Peter Phillips, who is very close to his uncle King Charles III, to various royal events in the past. The couple's separation came as a surprise to those around them.
"It was a shock, of course, as most people thought they were absolutely rock solid, which is very sad," said a friend of the couple. The two are said to still be on friendly terms.
