ChatGPT becomes more up-to-date for paying users

The latest version "GPT-4-Turbo" of the chatbot ChatGPT for paying customers provides users with significantly more up-to-date knowledge about the world. Previously, the end date was April 2023, initially even fall 2021.  

ChatGPT triggered the hype surrounding artificial intelligence over a year ago. Such AI chatbots are trained with huge amounts of information and can formulate texts at the linguistic level of a human, write software code and summarize information.

The principle behind this is that they estimate word by word how a sentence should continue. One disadvantage is that the software sometimes gives completely wrong answers, even if it was based on correct information. Developers are working on setting reliable guidelines for the programs to prevent this from happening.

OpenAI announced that the latest version of ChatGPT will also formulate less verbose texts that should appear more colloquial. For example, a pre-formulated text message reminder from the chatbot to friends to respond to an invitation to a birthday dinner reads briefly and matter-of-factly - just as a human would write it.

Previously, in the comparison demonstrated by OpenAI, ChatGPT would have written a flowery text about three times longer, including the observation that it would not be the same to celebrate without the invitees.
