Attempted murder: Woman run down with car
Attempted murder in Tyrol: A 31-year-old Turkish man is said to have run down a 24-year-old woman with his car at a petrol station on Sunday night, causing life-threatening injuries. The incident was preceded by an argument about his ex-girlfriend. The man was arrested.
Shortly after midnight, the suspect met his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend at the petrol station in Telfs. The plan was for the two men to talk. In addition to the two men, other people were also present. Katja Tersch, head of the Provincial Criminal Police Office, told the "Krone" newspaper that around ten people were present at the meeting.

24-year-old wanted to calm the men down
An argument quickly developed between the people involved. The 24-year-old, an employee of the petrol station and friend of the 31-year-old's ex-girlfriend, tried to calm the men down. This had fatal consequences for the young woman.
The Turkish man got into his car and pressed the accelerator. He hit the young woman with his car. The 24-year-old suffered serious head injuries as a result. The 31-year-old got out of the car briefly after the insane act and went to the victim. However, he then sped off in his car.
The other people present alerted the police. After first aid, the ambulance took the seriously injured woman to Innsbruck Hospital. "The victim is in a critical condition," explains Tersch.
One of the things that needs to be clarified is which of those present actually saw the crime.

The suspect was arrested by the police at his home a short time later. The vehicle was seized. The interrogation of the Turkish man and the witnesses has not yet been completed. "Among other things, we need to clarify which of the people present actually saw the crime", explains chief investigator Tersch.
