Good news from Til Schweiger: the actor is on the road to recovery after suffering from sepsis.

As reported by the "Bild" newspaper, Schweiger was allowed to leave the hospital in Palma de Mallorca after suffering from sepsis, but still has to go to the clinic for treatment.

"Dad is already feeling better"
Til Schweiger's daughter Luna, who last stood by her father in Mallorca, has also given the all-clear. She was with her mom Dana Schweiger at the "SPA Awards" in Chiemgau on Saturday evening.

"Dad is feeling better," the actress revealed on the red carpet of the gala.

Last week, the actor revealed to the newspaper that he had been "receiving antibiotics in hospital for two weeks" because he had had a wound on his leg since the summer.

Amputation was imminent
"I hit my shin at the time and germs got into it. Now I have an 'open leg', that's what they call it. Unfortunately, it got worse and worse," says Schweiger. There was even a threat of amputation.

Last week, Schweiger was still hoping to be able to attend the world premiere of the Guy Ritchie film "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare", in which he is starring, on Monday.

However, he later told Bild: "I'm still receiving intravenous antibiotics. They've got the fever under control. Of course I'm not flying to New York."
