They certainly cut a good figure together - but who is the young lady posing with former Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton at an event in Seoul?

It's "Rose", an Australian-Korean singer from the band "Blackpink". She was photographed by a number of media representatives alongside the F1 endurance racer at an event organized by Rimowa in Seoul. Hamilton himself posted the photo, visibly proud. And it is currently being played up and down in the rest of the social media world.

The joint red carpet appearance of the two is no coincidence. The two, described by Rimowa as "global icons", are part of the suitcase manufacturer's new campaign. Hamilton and Rose had already modeled for the company in 2023 - as did a certain Kylian Mbappe.

Back in the Middle Kingdom
For Hamilton, the weekend is once again less about posing and more about cruising. The Formula 1 entourage returns to China this week after five years. The last time the premier class of motorsport held the Chinese Grand Prix was in 2019, after which the coronavirus pandemic and the strict requirements of China's zero-covid policy prevented racing on the Shanghai International Circuit. Mercedes Head of Motorsport Toto Wolff described the F1 return to the world's largest car market as an "important moment".

Record winner
The sport has changed dramatically since 2019, with new faces and a new balance of power. Back then, Mercedes still dominated Formula 1, Lewis Hamilton won in Shanghai and was on his way to his sixth of seven world championship titles. Incidentally, Hamilton is also the record winner in China with six titles.
