Singing career
Katharina now wants to take her “big chance”
Katharina Stiedl from the district of Mödling will be on stage at the TV casting show "Die große Chance" on Friday. The singer's second single will be released at the same time.
Katharina Stiedl was actually supposed to have flickered across local TV screens two years ago. But an illness prevented her from appearing on "Starmania" at the last minute. So the singer was all the more delighted when the production team from "Die große Chance" came knocking on her door. And on Friday, April 19, the time has come for the Maria Enzersdorf native: "Then comes my big chance!"
Song by Sarah Connor
The 30-year-old, who graduated with honors in instrumental and vocal pedagogy and teaches at a Viennese musical school, will perform Sarah Connor's song "Vincent" on the TV show. She is not afraid of the stage.
Stage and studio experience
Katharina has already gained audience experience with the event band Prime Time and has given successful solo performances under the stage name Kara - including at the Donauinselfest. Record studios are also not new territory for the singer. Katharina has already worked on album and single productions and recorded radio jingles.
Second single
On Friday, her second single "Irgendwann" can also be heard for the first time on all music platforms. "It's a song that goes straight to the heart," reveals Katharina, who started working on it ten years ago. It was only recently that she took the score out of the drawer again - and finalized the song.
Music has always been important
Katharina's parents, Ursula Stiedl and caricaturist Reini Buchacher, will certainly be in front of the TV tomorrow. The two are keeping their fingers crossed for their daughter: "Because music has always been an important part of her life." Katharina wants to make her breakthrough as a solo artist with her appearance on "Die große Chance".
