Competition in Tyrol
Duel of the fire departments: Registrations still possible!
Around 3000 firefighters will be competing against each other at the 60th provincial fire department competition on June 7 and 8 in Zell am Ziller in the Zillertal valley. Registrations are still possible until April 26 - from fire departments from all over Austria and German-speaking countries! The supporting program is also impressive.
The fact is: the fire departments in the country are indispensable. Without them, the entire system would not work. The figures prove this in black and white: The Tyrol State Fire Brigade Association (LFV) comprises a total of 337 voluntary fire departments, 20 company fire departments and one professional fire department. With more than 32,000 members, the LFV Tirol is the largest emergency organization in the state of Tyrol.
It is therefore clear that the "Kronen Zeitung" supports the fire departments and is the exclusive print media partner of the 60th provincial fire department performance competition, Tyrol's largest fire department festival this year. This will take place on June 7 and 8 in Zell am Ziller.
Sporting competition with numerous tasks
Around 3,000 firefighters will transform the market town into Tyrol's firefighting hotspot. What does the competition actually look like? It is a sporting competition involving the construction of a fire-fighting attack - from laying the suction line and setting up the pump to the finished fire-fighting attack. Another part is the 400-meter relay race. After successfully completing the competition, the firefighters are awarded the bronze or silver firefighting performance badge. The highlight is the Firecup, in which the best groups from the previous year compete against each other in a knockout competition.
This competition is sure to be the highlight of the 158-year history of the Zell am Ziller volunteer fire department.

Deadline for registrations is April 26th
Exciting: Every fire department from the German-speaking region can register for the 60th provincial fire department performance competition - until April 26 via the FDIS Tirol fire department administration system or the LFV Tirol.
"This is both a special honor and a challenge"
"The 60th provincial fire department performance competition will definitely be the highlight of the 158-year history of the Zell am Ziller volunteer fire department. It is both a special honor and a challenge for us to host this competition," emphasizes Commander Alexander Stock. His deputy Peter Leo adds: "You can already feel that the team is wholeheartedly behind the competition."
Fakten
The detailed program as well as details regarding registration and news can be found at www.bewerb2024.at and on the social media channels of the Zell/Ziller volunteer fire department.
"Preparations have been underway for more than two years"
Stefan Rohrmoser from the organization team, on the other hand, reveals: "Preparations have been underway for more than two years with a 15-member organization team. Numerous tasks and steps are necessary to organize such a major event - in addition to the construction planning, for example, this also includes marketing and press work. The 'Kronen Zeitung' is the perfect partner here - with the team's unique experience and wide reach, we are ideally positioned." U1 acts as the exclusive radio media partner.
Preparations have been underway for more than two years.

Tent festival with live bands, disco tent with DJ
In addition to the competition, the organizers are also organizing a large tent festival with a varied festival program - including three live bands and a DJ. On Friday, Lätz Fetz will provide a sensational atmosphere in the big tent. On Saturday, on the other hand, Volksbeat and Volxrock will be kicking it up a notch - also in the tent. There is also a disco tent in which DJ Instyle will heat up the crowd until the early hours of the morning on both days.
This weekend is not only an absolute must for firefighters, but also for those who are interested and party animals. So the motto is: Be sure to drop by!
