Let's go
Along the Griesbach stream into the Zimmerbergklamm gorge
This circular hike in Telfs leads through one of the few Tyrolean gorges where you don't step on each other's toes. And the traditional Lehen inn is a wonderful place to stop for a bite to eat.
To the north, opposite the petrol station, follow the road between the houses ("Klammsteig") up to the beginning of the South Tyrolean settlement. There, a road or footpath leads to the left of the stream and turns into a path at the start of the gorge. This initially runs inwards at the level of the Griesbach stream, then continues up the slope before crossing the stream. A spectacular staircase takes you up several storeys and then back to the original side of the stream. The main summit of the Hohe Munde rises up impressively in front of us.
The trail now winds its way up again to the spectacular suspension bridge. On the other side, we reach the end of the gorge in front of the power station in the so-called "Hex".
At the "Klammsteig" stamp point, follow the path up to the wooden shelter (around 1050 m) with a view over the gorge. From here, follow the path (always "Lehen/St. Veith") downhill to the water basin. From there we hike along the road down to Gasthof Lehen, where you can stop for a bite to eat.
