Led twice, but:
SCR Altach vs Blau-Weiß Linz – LIVE from 5pm
The clash in the qualifying group of the Bundesliga between SCR Altach and Blau-Weiß Linz ended in a 2:2 (1:1) draw on Saturday!
The Vorarlberg side took the lead twice through Mike-Steven Bähre (41st/penalty) and Sofian Bahloul (51st), but the Upper Austrians equalized thanks to Ronivaldo (45th/penalty) and Simon Seidl (60th). Altach, who are now unbeaten in seven rounds, remain third and eight points clear of bottom club Austria Lustenau. The penultimate team, Blau-Weiß, have been winless for 13 rounds and remain five points clear of the relegation zone.
The game was a tough affair in the early stages in front of 4331 spectators, with neither team taking too many risks. It was only after around half an hour that Linz started to push the pace a little more, but Seidl missed a Paul Mensah cross (31') and a Fabio Strauss header landed in the arms of Altach keeper Tobias Schützenauer (36').
Blau-Weiß Linz responded for the first time ...
A short time later, Christian Gebauer marched into the penalty area and his pass was slightly touched with his arm by Simon Pirkl as he slid - that was enough for referee Alexander Harkam to award a penalty, which Bähre converted safely. Blau-Weiß responded before the break. Ronivaldo was hit by Paul Koller and the Brazilian took the penalty himself.

Soon after the break, the hosts were again able to celebrate. Linz goalkeeper Nicolas Schmid deflected a Lukas Fadinger free-kick goalwards and Bahloul, who had replaced the injured Sandro Ingolitsch in the first half and scored the golden goal against Austria Lustenau a week earlier, was in the right place to fire home with a direct shot. However, Altach's lead did not last long again - Seidl was allowed to head in unchallenged after a short corner.
The home side had a little more of the play in the final phase, but they were unable to score the winner. Koller missed the best chance, the Altach defender shooting over the crossbar from around seven meters (67'). This meant that the third league encounter between the two teams this season ended in a draw.
