He's going to be a pop star!
For Hinterseer, our ESC anarchist Poier is “bearish”
"Smashed hotel rooms" and cabaret award moments at the Smago Awards 2024 in the Hohenhaus Tenne in Schladming. Alf Poier performed there among a host of pop stars and starlets. He spoke of an "attempt" in the "Krone". But the painter, cabaret artist, musician and entertainer seems to have really discovered his new great love there.
He came, he saw and he won the hearts of his fans. Yes, even those of his stage colleagues, because they were full of praise after this performance. Artistic chameleon Alf Poier (he sang for Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest, ESC, in 2003) had initially spread rumors (not at all serious) about what he called the "pop god" Hansi Hinterseer.
The chemistry between Hinterseer and Poier
"Hansi smashed up his hotel room before the show in the style of a rock star", he allegedly told ADABEI at the party in the Hohenhaus Tenne in Schladming. So we brought the two together. After the joke was broken up, the two of them immediately hit it off and the Tyrolean Hinterseer gave the Styrian-born Poier a few tips.

Will Poier now be a pop star?
"Me performing here at a Schlager party is a bit like Hansi Hinterseer performing at the Austrian Cabaret Awards," laughed Poier and Hinterseer with him. Was this the start of a new career path for the former ESC star? "Look at that!" It almost sounded as if the pop star and the "Dadaist devil" Poier could become very good friends.
Marc Pircher (who as always elegantly hosted the show), Die Seer (one of their last great performances before their farewell), the Nockis, folk song giant Heino with iconic interludes, as well as the Mountain Crew, the warhorses Peter Orloff and Bata Illic, Uwe Busse, the Rubettes and Adriana, who delighted everyone, partied well into the night.
