"Fit with the stars"
Andreas Goldberger takes a dive in the studio
Viewers of "Fit mit den Stars" can look forward to seeing high-flyer Andreas Goldberger this week - and he really didn't make it easy for himself!
Conny Kreuter was the first to take over "Fit mit den Stars" after initiator Philipp Jelinek's (formerly "Fit mit Philipp") popular format now allows a different celebrity to become the nation's lead gymnast every week following "discrepancies" with ORF. Their dream ratings of up to 50 percent market share in the relevant target group (12 to 49-year-olds) will be hard to beat, but this does not mean a loss of motivation for former ski jumper Andreas Goldberger.
Doing gymnastics on your own doorstep first
"Together with my physiotherapist, we put together exercises that I haven't mastered perfectly, including for my weak points: Shoulder and hip, actually the left side, I'm really stiff there. You don't do that every day ... Signs of wear and tear!"
In his program, he focuses on flexibility and different levels of difficulty - after all, everyone should be able to take part. During the preparations, however, he quickly realized that he had underestimated the whole thing somewhat. "17 minutes in one tour is not easy! And I want to do it properly. But I think it's a great thing. There are a lot of people who simply don't have the opportunity to go to the gym. And I also think that the inhibition threshold is lower at home when you might otherwise feel embarrassed somewhere else."
So from Monday to Friday, from 9.10 a.m. (on ORF 2), he will be working hard to combat the aforementioned "signs of wear and tear" in himself and his audience!
