Princess Kate shares birthday photo of Louis

Princess Kate, the Princess of Wales, shared a photo she took of her youngest child, Prince Louis, on Tuesday. In the picture, the now six-year-old laughs happily at the camera and shows off a small scrape on his chin.

The six-year-old is regarded as the most exuberant and cheerful member of the British heir to the throne family. Time and again, the cheeky little boy (you can see his funniest moments in the video above) attracts attention with his mischief at public appearances.

Before the photo shoot with his mom for his sixth birthday on April 23, he must have gone a little wild, as there is a small bruise on his chin.

Kate wished her son a happy sixth birthday with the photo on social media and also thanked him for the many congratulations Louis has received.

Louis is celebrating his sixth birthday at a time when the Wales family is taking a break from the limelight. The 42-year-old princess is recovering from abdominal surgery and has to undergo cancer treatment.

Kate made it public in March that she is undergoing preventative chemotherapy to prevent an as yet unspecified type of cancer.

In a moving video, the Princess of Wales shared how the cancer cells were discovered while she underwent surgery for another condition in January.

The fact that the Princess of Wales shared a photo after all is surprising. Shortly before her cancer diagnosis, a Mother's Day picture of her caused a stir because it had been edited.

News services subsequently withdrew the photo and a discussion arose about the credibility of the royal family. Kate later apologized for using Photoshop as an amateur.
