Til Schweiger: “Böhmermann is the greatest emetic”

German actor Til Schweiger despises comedians such as Oliver Pocher and Jan Böhmermann. For him, the latter is even "the biggest emetic in the German media landscape". 

Schweiger, who is not exactly considered an angel himself, was annoyed in an interview with "Die Zeit" about German comedians who "only ever laugh at the expense of others".

The actor criticized the fact that although these people like to dish it out, they themselves "can't take it at all". As soon as a joke was at their expense, they would "pull a punch and immediately come around the corner with a lawyer".

Violent fantasies
The actor described Böhmermann as "the biggest emetic in the German media landscape" and even confessed to having harbored violent fantasies against the satirist. He had sworn to himself that he would give Böhmermann "a big slap" if he met him.

However, "thank God" he was able to restrain himself when he actually met Böhmermann.

In the interview, Schweiger also commented on the allegations of violence on the set of the "Manta Manta" sequel. He emphasized that the incident he described was "not even a slap, but a slap".

Positive headlines in the future
Schweiger added that he was "not saying this to relativize" and that "you don't touch someone in the face". According to his statements, the matter had already been forgiven the following day, "and I was infinitely happy and grateful about that". In general, he only wanted to make positive headlines in future.

The 60-year-old has been struggling with health problems for months. An open wound on his leg, which he suffered back in August 2023, refuses to heal.

In April, he was even hospitalized for two weeks because of it - and even now he still has to go to the clinic every day to fight the inflammation that keeps flaring up.
