Evil right-wingers as spies from the East
An employee of the top EU candidate of the right-wing AfD (Alternative for Germany) has now been arrested. He, a man of Chinese origin, had been spying for Red China, spying on Chinese dissidents and reporting secret events from the EU Parliament to Beijing. And his boss, MEP Maximilian Krah, is suspected of working for Russia. At least that's what they say.
ON THE ONE HAND, it is common knowledge that Beijing is active worldwide when it comes to gathering information. Especially when it comes to the economy and industrial espionage.
ON THE OTHER hand, it is fair to ask what highly secret processes an employee of the ostracized AfD from the EU Parliament would have to report to China. After all, everything that the EU does can be found out via the internet without the need for spies. In our country, it is currently said that Herbert Kickl's Freedom Party is working for the Kremlin, lock, stock and barrel. And that arch-blacks - such as the former Secretary General of Karin Kneissl's Foreign Ministry, Johannes Peterlik - or the SPÖ member Egisto Ott were spying for Russia on behalf of the FPÖ. Spies from the right, in other words, both in Germany and in Austria. And the trained Austrian naturally thinks that these accusations are also largely election campaign bluster: "right-wing extremists", "traitors to the homeland" and now also "spies". The only thing missing is "child molesters".
