City of Salzburg says yes to the construction of two new sewers

The members of the Building and Environment Committee of Salzburg City Council, chaired by Franz Wolf (VP), had six official reports to deal with at their last meeting of this term of office on Thursday at Mirabell Palace.

All six resolutions were passed unanimously. An overview:

• THR Hotelbetriebs- und Management GmbH will be granted a permit under civil law for a guest garden at Franz-Josef-Straße 1 until October 31.
• The catering business "Celtic Spirit" at Priesterhausgasse 22 also receives this for the same period.
• The official report "LED displays on provincial roads - cost sharing by the City of Salzburg" was forwarded to the City Senate for resolution.
• The sewer in parts of Schallmooser Hauptstraße and Bayerhamerstraße is being renewed. The total gross costs of EUR 660,000 for this are approved. The contract for the master builder work of around 498,000 euros gross will be awarded following a call for tenders. If unforeseen construction measures become necessary, this amount can be increased to a maximum of around 555,000 euros gross. In the 2025 financial year, budget funds of around 79,000 euros net are earmarked for this.
• Following a call for tenders, one bidder is commissioned to supply a high-pressure flushing and suction vehicle for the sewer and water department at a total price of EUR 358,800.
• Following an invitation to tender, another bidder was commissioned to supply a fire engine to the volunteer fire department of the City of Salzburg at a total price of around EUR 493,000.
