"So grateful"
“Snow run”: Nicole Kidman jogs through Salzburg
Filming is currently taking place in Salzburg for the international television production "Nine Perfect Strangers" with a star cast - including Hollywood icon Nicole Kidman (56). Filming is taking place at Schloss Leopoldskron and other locations. Kidman is clearly enjoying Austria to the full and posted some impressions of her stay.
Nicole Kidman braved the cold and went jogging in the snow along the Salzach river on Friday. She captioned her Instagram story "Snow run in Salzburg" and laughed happily into the camera.
In a video posted on Instagram, the Australian was wearing a white winter coat and a black hat. She hid her eyes behind dark designer sunglasses and plugged in headphones to listen to music as she jogged along the Salzach river.
Kidman also shared a photo gallery with various impressions of her stay in Salzburg. "I explored the streets of Salzburg," she wrote about the beautiful photos showing the actress in the old town and near the Salzach.
Kidman receives Life Achievement Award
The Oscar winner has another reason to celebrate: on Saturday, Kidman will be honored for her life's work at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and receive the Life Achievement Award.
Hollywood icon Meryl Streep (74) will present the actress with the coveted award, the American Film Institute (AFI) announced on Thursday. Stars such as Morgan Freeman, Naomi Watts and Reese Witherspoon will also honor Kidman's achievements at the 49th Life Achievement Award Gala.
"Receiving this award fills me with overwhelming gratitude," said the 56-year-old. She added: "To be the first Australian to be honored in this way leaves me speechless."
