Girls also threatened
Boys caught stealing a car thanks to a witness
Thanks to an attentive witness, two teenagers were caught stealing a car in Vienna's Simmering district on Thursday morning. The two boys, aged 14 and 18, had stolen the car belonging to the father of a friend (16). In the course of the investigation, it also emerged that the 16-year-old had previously threatened the girl several times.
The witness had observed the two youths parking the car in Kaiser-Ebersdorfer Straße and then behaving suspiciously. She then alerted the police. When the police arrived, the two boys ran off but were stopped shortly afterwards. The youths initially denied having anything to do with the car. However, the witness recognized the 14-year-old as the driver of the vehicle.
"Friends" with the car owner's daughter
In the meantime, the owner of the car's registration could be contacted. It turned out that this was the father of a 16-year-old girl with whom the two boys had previously visited. The teenagers had stolen the car keys.
In the course of the investigation, it also emerged that the 16-year-old had allegedly threatened the girl several times in recent weeks. In addition, violent assaults against the girl of the same age are also alleged to have taken place.
The boy was banned from entering the premises and approaching the girl, and a temporary weapons ban was issued. The two suspects were charged several times and transferred to a prison.
