“Sackerl für Kickls Gackerl” triggers shitstorm

The Socialist Youth of Upper Austria has been criticized. In a "satirical campaign" in front of the FPÖ office in Freistadt, they criticized the policies of the blue party leader Herbert Kickl with faecal slogans. Despite the wave of outrage, the red party's new generation sees no reason to apologize. 

The Socialist Youth (SJ) has to put up with a shitstorm. It was triggered by a campaign against FP federal party leader Herbert Kickl that was planned as a satirical campaign. The young red politicians deposited huge bags of garbage in front of the Freistadt Freedom Party office and held up signs with faecal slogans. The most harmless message was that there is now a "bag for Kickls Gackerl".

According to SJ regional chairwoman Eva Reiter, the choice of words was deliberate: "We are a youth organization and have made a conscious decision to use the language of young people. But I am sure that there are also 60-year-olds who like the campaign." There is no reason to apologize.

It is not us who have to apologize for our action, but Mr. Kickl for his policy, which is a threat to democracy.

Rather, Kickl should apologize for his policies: "He is probably one of the biggest garbage producers in the republic. With his disgusting rhetoric against minorities and political opponents, he presents himself as a great provocateur, while in reality almost everything he says is simply filth that pollutes the media discourse."

FPÖ district spokesman Peter Handlos is annoyed by the "scandal", but in view of the upcoming elections he sees the campaign in a positive light: "Many citizens have contacted us and are just shaking their heads. The SPÖ youth have probably done the SPÖ a disservice. It looks like an own goal."

Because of such actions, the Reds need not be surprised if the mood in our country changes.

There is no statement from SPÖ regional party leader Michael Lindner. When asked by the "Krone" newspaper, the party's regional manager Florian Koppler was sent ahead: "This satirical campaign is neither to my taste nor do I find it particularly successful. Nevertheless, let's leave the church in the village. The FPÖ youth in Upper Austria is the gateway for the far-right Identitarians into the party, and they openly advertise with extreme right-wing fighting terms such as 'remigration'. That should rightly be outrageous."

SJ leader Reiter does not expect Lindner to be reprimanded either. "There will certainly be no consequences. We stand by the campaign and also by the criticism."

Disgusting, horrible, absolutely inappropriate! The action by the Socialist Youth in front of the FP office in Freistadt triggered a wave of indignation. On three signs with a total of twelve words, they express their displeasure with the blue federal party leader Herbert Kickl.

The word Sch... is highlighted in color twice. is used, highlighted in color. Dirt or garbage would probably have had the same effect. It is worrying that the SP leadership did not give the campaign a red card and did not call off its own youth. Words like that have no place in political discourse.
