“Worst performance we have put in”

Austria Klagenfurt were beaten 3-2 by TSV Hartberg on Sunday. Read what coach Peter Pacult, Markus Schopp and hat-trick scorer Donis Avdijaj had to say here.

Markus Schopp (Hartberg coach): 
"At the end of the day, it's a normal reaction that you come out after a 3-0 lead, where I think you could actually lead higher, and meet an opponent who goes all-in. You can't do more than prepare the team for that. And then things happen, a loss of possession, a stupid goal at a very stupid time, then the whole thing starts to tip over. But thank God it didn't tip over today."

On hat-trick scorer Donis Avdijaj: 
"Donis is a fighter, Donis is often unpredictable. Donis often has moments in the game where he's not quite there, then he comes back. He's simply a difference-maker at our level. That's why I'm pleased that he was rewarded today and that we came away with three points."

Donis Avdijaj: 
"Of course I'm over the moon about the first half. I achieved everything I set out to do. I can say that everything was exactly as planned. In the end, a terrific first half was enough to take three points today. I've actually never played against Klagenfurt before. I was substituted once in the 7th minute because of a minor calf problem."

Peter Pacult (Klagenfurt coach): 
"That first half was probably one of the worst performances we've put in. It's incomprehensible to me that we put in such a performance after our success on Wednesday (4:3 against Salzburg; note), although I have to say: I warned the team, I knew it would be a different game. I mentioned it at the team meeting because I could already sense it that morning. I've been around long enough to realize that something wasn't right. It's okay that they did better in the second half, but it was nothing more than a result correction."
