Nußdorf put their goal drought behind them in the derby

The relegation battle is also a tough one in the 1st Division North. This was evident in the clash between neighbors Nußdorf and bottom team Oberndorf in the 1st Class North. However, at least the Haunsberg side can have justified hopes of staying up after their 5:1 thumping victory.

The two Flachgau towns are just seven minutes apart. In sporting terms, Nußdorf have the advantage, as Oberndorf are still winless this season and are bottom of the 1st division North. In the fan.at match of the round, however, OSK set the tone first.

Clear ship in superior numbers
Zubanovic shocked the hosts with the early 0:1 (14') in front of just under 150 spectators. "We were shocked, but fortunately we were able to catch ourselves," said Nußdorf section manager Sebastian Kreiseder. The crew of coach Herbert Luginger, brother of SVN veteran Alois, equalized before the break with a free-kick from Felix Schwärz. After that, the dwindling spirits of the visitors helped. Goalkeeper Moderegger was shown a straight red for a foul outside the penalty area. After Schwärz scored again (55'), Götzinger increased the lead with a brace (70', 77'). The final goal was scored by Buchwinkler (89'), while Oberndorf's Doknjas was shown the red card (89').

Goal yield improved by 27 percent
Significant: Without the two 5:1 victories this year against Anif 1b and OSk, Haunsberg would only have scored 13 goals. Even the winless last-placed team and derby rivals Oberndorf are in a much better position. That's why Kreiseder appreciated the success: "Big praise for the team and the coaching team. We definitely want to stay in the league and the win was extremely important for us."

It is also still unclear how many teams will be relegated. If there are the expected 1b champions in the 2nd classes North A and B, four teams will be promoted. The 1st national league remains a glimmer of hope. If only southern teams are relegated, there will be a relegation of the runners-up in the 2nd league. If the North wins there, there would be fewer relegated teams at the bottom because there would have to be a move up. "We can only look from game to game. Hopefully tenth place will be enough. But we still hope that we can move up even further."

1st class north, 20. Round: Oberhofen - Lamprechtshausen 4:2 (2:1), Perwang/Michaelbeuern - Austria Salzburg 1b 4:1 (1:1), Obertrum - Fuschl 0:8 (0:4), Nußdorf - Oberndorf 5:1 (1:1), Gneis/ASK_PSV Salzburg - Anif 1b 1:2 (1:1), Scheffau - Abtenau 2:2 (0:1), Oberalm - Kuchl 1b 4:2 (2:1).
