Crash in Vorarlberg
Unknown persons stretched a line across Bödelestraße
A driver who was driving her car on Bödelestraße in Vorarlberg on Sunday night had a stroke of luck. Unknown persons had stretched a nylon cord across the road and the woman had an accident.
It could have ended much worse: On Sunday night, a 25-year-old woman was driving her car on the L 48 (Bödelestraße) in the direction of Schwarzenberg. At road kilometer 13, the driver suddenly heard a loud bang and immediately brought her car to a halt.
Car severely damaged by cord
On the scene, the driver noticed a nylon cord stretched across the L48. Initial police investigations revealed that the nylon cord was attached to the existing fence posts. The 25-year-old was not injured. However, the woman's car was severely damaged as a result of driving against the cord.
Farmer could have stretched the cord
The police are currently still assuming that the cord was stretched to drive cattle across the road. A cattle show had taken place in Schwarzenberg the previous evening. It is possible that a farmer was driving his animals home across the road late at night. Witnesses who can provide information about the cord are asked to contact the Egg police station.
