Fire alarm in Wörgl
Night-time fire woke residents from their sleep
Fire department operation on Friday night in Wörgl in the Tyrolean district of Kufstein: a fire broke out on a balcony in an apartment building, which then spread to the façade and roof truss. All residents were able to get to safety in time.
The fire department was alerted shortly before 4 a.m. after a fire broke out on a balcony of the apartment building. "This then spread to the façade and the roof truss," reported the police.
The Wörgl fire department was able to quickly bring the fire under control and extinguish it completely at around 5 am.

Residents remained unharmed
All residents of the apartment building were able to leave the building in time and unharmed. "The fire department quickly brought the fire under control", the investigators continued. The "fire out" signal was given at around 5 o'clock.
The roof structure of the house was severely damaged by the fire and the affected apartment is currently uninhabitable.
Investigations into the cause of the fire
The cause of the fire is still unclear and is the subject of further investigations. The Wörgl fire department with 45 members, the police and the ambulance service were deployed.
