Three women attacked within a few hours
Three women were threatened and attacked by men from their private lives in Vienna on Thursday. In Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus, a 25-year-old man choked his ex-girlfriend and threatened her. In the Margareten district, a 15-year-old allegedly threatened his girlfriend (17) with a knife and locked her in her room. In Liesing, a 54-year-old attacked an acquaintance - she had to be treated in hospital.
The first incident took place in the Vienna district of Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus at around 2.15 pm. The 27-year-old's ex-boyfriend is said to have entered her apartment twice without being asked. In the course of a subsequent argument, he allegedly choked her and touched her in her private parts. The police arrested the suspect near the apartment. The 25-year-old did not confess during questioning.
Girlfriend locked in room
Just under an hour later, the police were alerted to an apartment in the Margareten district. A 15-year-old Serbian citizen had allegedly beaten his 17-year-old girlfriend, threatened her with a knife and locked her in a room. However, the 17-year-old fled from the apartment through the window. The 15-year-old was arrested. Both the victim and the suspect refused to make a statement.
Acquaintance strangled and beaten
Finally, in Liesing in the early evening, a 54-year-old Polish national allegedly demanded money from his 53-year-old acquaintance during a visit and beat, strangled and threatened her verbally and with a knife. The 53-year-old was able to flee and ran to a neighbor. The suspect was arrested in the courtyard of the apartment building. The woman was given emergency medical treatment by emergency services and taken to hospital.
