"Fit with the stars"
Bernhard Kohl is the next to try his luck
"If you rest, you rust!" Next week, ex-professional cyclist and former "Dancing Star" Bernhard Kohl will try his luck as Philipp Jelinek's successor as the nation's gymnast.
After Jelinek's inglorious departure from the show "Fit mit Philipp", ORF invented the new format "Fit mit den Stars", in which a different Austrian celebrity is supposed to motivate TV viewers to join in the gymnastics every week.
While "Dancing Stars" choreographer Conny Kreuter succeeded well in the first week, the other gymnasts Andi Goldberger and Roman Mählich did not exactly cause a sensation or even top ratings for this slot.
"He who rests, rusts!"
Can Bernhard Kohl do that? The former sports star is certainly motivated and explains: "Sport and exercise have always been and will always be an important part of my life. That's why I'm particularly honored to be part of the new 'Fit with the Stars' format. I'm looking forward to this new challenge and wish all participants lots of fun and enjoyment in the coming week. Because there's no question about it: you snooze, you lose!"
In the week from May 13 to 17, "Fit mit den Stars" will be presented by former ski racer and "Österreich vom Feinsten" presenter Hans Knauß on weekdays at 9.10 a.m. on ORF 2.
