Transfer poker looms!
100 million? Davies replacement probably says yes to Bayern
Milan defender Theo Hernandez has probably reached an agreement with FC Bayern regarding a transfer in the summer. However, one major hurdle remains for the record champions: The Italians are insisting on a transfer fee that could amount to up to 100 million euros. Sports director Max Eberl and sports director Christoph Freund have their work cut out for them.
Finally some good news for FC Bayern. A breakthrough seems to have been achieved in the negotiations with Hernandez. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Milan defender has reached an agreement with the record champions over a transfer in the summer.
In Munich, the 26-year-old is set to take over from Alphonso Davies, who is willing to make the switch. However, there is still one major catch: his club is not interested in letting the Frenchman, who has a contract until 2026, leave on the cheap in the summer.
Tough poker is expected
The top performer is expected to bring some serious cash into Milan's coffers in order to push ahead with the squad shake-up. The Italians are said to be demanding up to 100 million euros for their defender. A sum that Munich are not prepared to pay. Tough negotiations are expected.
"We don't need to sell a player in the summer. We can invest without selling a top player," says Milan board boss Giorgio Furlani. He is also aware that Manchester United, Chelsea and clubs from Saudi Arabia are interested in Hernandez alongside Bayern. However, the Frenchman has reportedly already made up his mind and only wants to join the club where his brother Lucas already played. A tough poker game is expected.
