In Berlin, a pedestrian was allegedly shot dead from a moving car in broad daylight on Monday. The police union spoke of a "public execution" - it is assumed that it was a crime in the clan milieu.

The incident took place at around 3.30 p.m. in the Spandau district. The murder victim was walking on a sidewalk when the fire was opened. Residents described hearing at least two shots. 

As the newspaper "Bild" reported, the victim was also allegedly stabbed. The emergency services could do nothing more for the man - resuscitation was unsuccessful. The police have not yet revealed the identity of the deceased.

More violence in the competition within the clan milieu
"This public execution today in Spandau shows us what people in organized crime are capable of," said Benjamin Jendro, spokesman for the Berlin police union, expressing his horror at the crime. Berlin is "basically a safe metropolis, but we have to speak out clearly about the fact that in the competition within organized crime, people are increasingly resorting to armed violence and human lives are no longer worth anything," explained the officer.

There had recently been an increase in conflicts between hostile clans. "Everyone knows that in these areas, even as a young guy, you are prepared to do a lot to earn respect, recognition and power," said Jendro.

Homicide detectives were still interviewing witnesses to the incident on Monday evening. They hope to find eyewitnesses who may even have filmed the crime.
