New record transfer? BVB interested in PSG striker

Borussia Dortmund are probably interested in signing PSG striker Randal Kolo Muani. The Frenchman, who only arrived from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer, was often only second choice. BVB could seize the opportunity to make him a record transfer.

Paris St. Germain paid 95 million euros to Eintracht Frankfurt last summer to secure the services of Kolo Muani. Since then, however, the 25-year-old has often had to make do with a wild card role. Dortmund have obviously been following the situation closely and see the unexpected income from the Champions League as an opportunity.

As reported by "L'Equipe", BVB are said to be considering signing the striker. He is set to compete with Niclas Füllkrug. Sebastien Haller and the talented Youssoufa Moukoko are set to leave the club in the summer.

A prominent alternative
In the case of Kolo Muani, both a loan with an option to buy and a direct signing are on the table. In return, the squad planners around Sven Mislintat would also be prepared to make him the club's new record transfer. The Champions League finalists would reportedly fork out a transfer fee of 50 million euros. 

In Paris, however, there is no sign of a premature departure. Instead, the 25-year-old is expected to take on greater responsibility in the coming season. It remains to be seen whether BVB has any chance of making a move palatable to the player. BVB have apparently identified Serhou Guirassy from VFB Stuttgart as an alternative.
