Glanhofen spring festival: celebrating for a good cause

On Saturday, the spring festival in Glanhofen took place in aid of the Carinthian Children's Cancer Aid.

First things first: St. Peter also has a charitable heart and closed the floodgates over Glanhofen near Feldkirchen on Saturday, where the traditional spring festival was celebrated in aid of Carinthian Children's Cancer Aid.

"What makes me particularly happy is that all visitors wore donated pants," said organizer Mayor Martin Treffner, who started the festival in 1995 with his former Schöller ice cream team and has since been able to hand over almost 600,000 euros to the children's cancer charity.

Mission demonstrations and musical entertainment
Before folk music and pop stars - from Hannah, Waterloo, Edlseer and Matakustix to Udo Wenders, Marco Ventre & Band and Jazz Gitti - set the mood, there was action and great operational demonstrations from the fire department, police, mountain rescue service, Red Cross, rescue dog brigade etc. In addition, kindergartens and elementary school presented their musical skills.

Of course, children also had fun, with face painting and a bouncy castle. 300 volunteers ensured a perfect charitable festival. On Sunday, after Holy Mass, the fun continued with the Radio Kärnten-Frühschoppen, Arnulf Prasch, Silvio Samoni, the young Wernbergers, the Kaisers and the Avsenik house band.
