Klopp future? “Heard a little rumor”

Cult coach Jürgen Klopp has taken a one-year break from soccer after nine years at Liverpool. It is still unclear what will happen next for the German, but Gary Lineker has a hunch. 

"I'm curious to see what Jürgen Klopp will do next. I think he'll definitely take some time out because I think he means it when he says he's run out of energy," the former England team player said in the podcast "The Rest is Football". Sooner or later, however, Klopp will return.

Back to BVB?
"I've heard a little rumor that he could end up becoming president of Borussia Dortmund, which would be fantastic," says Lineker. From 2008 to 2015, "Kloppo" was on the BVB coaching bench and won the German championship twice with the Black & Yellows. 

Will the star coach now return to the Ruhr region in a new role? Rather unlikely. Klopp has repeatedly made it clear in the past that a job as an official would not particularly appeal to him, and Reinhold Lunow did not take over as president of Dortmund until 2022. If the post becomes vacant again, Hans-Joachim Watzke is also considered the top candidate. As nice as the idea may be, Klopp will probably only have a vacation on his agenda for the time being ...
