The inheritance dispute over a Werfenweng alpine pasture has reached a new level. The decisions of the authorities have already been questioned by the courts and files relating to the proceedings at the provincial authorities have been destroyed. Now the politicians have to react and explain how all this could have happened...

The inheritance dispute over the Seidl family's Mayrhofalm in Werfenweng has reached the next stage. Politics is involved. Decisions made by the agricultural authority and the Land Transfer Commission since the 1990s have led to the issue of ownership of the alp being settled in the courts for years.

Current status: The Mayrhofalm, where Peter Seidl and his family ran a bar, no longer belongs to him. His brother, who had received the farm from his parents, also has the right to the alpine pasture - the "Krone" reported.

Files were destroyed
The state authorities should never have awarded Peter Seidl the alpine pasture. Member of Parliament Simon Heilig-Hofbauer (Greens) now wants answers from the state government with an urgent question. "Mistakes made by the authorities back then are costing those affected dearly today," says the Green politician.

The alp is part of the Mitterbergalpe alp community in Werfenweng.

The authorities could also be held liable. The fact that files relating to the handover of the farm in 1995 were destroyed could also play a significant role. A reconstruction of the decisions is probably no longer possible without further ado.
