Missing Styrian Ilvy (13) is back home!

It was probably the worst week for Ilvy's family: the 13-year-old from Rosental an der Kainach (Voitsberg district) had been missing since May 24. Half the country was searching for the teenager. Now Ilvy is back home - the police have picked her up in another district in Styria.

"She's back home" - Ilvy's mother sounds relieved, and yet you can still hear the worry in her voice that has tormented her over the past week. Ilvy had gone to a friend's house on Friday, May 24. But she knew nothing about it. The mother reported the incident to the police on Friday evening. "But nothing, simply nothing", the parents told the "Krone", "indicated a tragedy on Friday".

The family used her picture to search for the teenager and turned to the public. The parents and grandparents put up missing persons notices at train stations. Thousands shared the appeal on social media.

On Saturday, the Facebook community "Österreich findet euch" finally announced the news: Ilvy has returned home! "Our message to Ilvy and her family - all the best!" The joy is great.

Ilvy is physically well, her mother can also confirm. She came home on Friday evening. "I'm just so relieved that she's here!" The West Styrian doesn't want to say any more about her Ilvy's homecoming at the moment.

Apparently, however, the schoolgirl did not return home voluntarily, but was picked up by the police - in Styria, but in a different district to her home in Voitsberg. There had been several tips from the public which, in combination with the investigative work, had led to Ilvy being found and returned to her family.

The police do not want to go public with any further information. Investigations are still ongoing in the background to determine whether there have been any criminally relevant incidents.
