Vienna: Police officers help woman – and are spat at

During a police operation in Vienna-Meidling on Sunday night, a woman became aggressive and attacked officers - after they had given her first aid. Later, the 33-year-old continued to riot. She was arrested.

The police were alerted on Saturday night because a woman was reportedly on the rampage in an apartment building in the twelfth district. When the police arrived at the house, they found a 33-year-old Austrian woman lying on the floor with minor injuries to her hands.

Woman suddenly became aggressive
The officers administered first aid and sat the woman up. The 33-year-old woman suddenly became aggressive and claimed to have infectious diseases. She then became uncooperative, insulted the police officers and tried to spit on one of them.

When the official action was completed, the officers asked the woman to leave the location. The Austrian woman complied with this request.

Crashed into car with shopping cart
Shortly afterwards, the police were alerted again because a woman had allegedly driven a shopping cart into a parked car. It turned out that the woman was the 33-year-old. She was then provisionally arrested and taken into police custody.

The woman was charged with damage to property and suspicion of attempting to deliberately endanger people with communicable diseases, the police reported. She also faces several administrative charges.
