Racist insults: Young Carinthian hits out!

A fight broke out at the train station in Klagenfurt on Thursday afternoon! A 30-year-old from Klagenfurt allegedly kept hurling racist insults at an 18-year-old.

At around 4 pm, the 18-year-old from the district of St. Veit was traveling with a friend (18) on the train from Pörtschach to Klagenfurt when the insults began: "A 30-year-old from Klagenfurt is said to have insulted the 18-year-old with racist language for almost the entire journey," according to the police.

When they arrived at the station, the man from Klagenfurt allegedly hit the young man on the head with a necklace, causing minor injuries. Then the 18-year-old apparently had enough: "Because of this attack and the verbal abuse, he knocked the 30-year-old down", as he described to the officers. 

The two young lads left the station premises, but were found nearby after a short manhunt: "Both confessed!" The 18-year-old gave the constant racist abuse and the attack on his head as the reason for the beating. His victim had to go to hospital and the police are investigating for assault.
