Parts of the accident wreck damaged three cars

Presumably due to aquaplaning, a young man from the Wolfsberg district lost control of his car - the accident damaged a total of four vehicles.

On Monday evening at around 7.15 p.m., the 27-year-old was driving on the left-hand lane of the A2 towards Vienna when a crash occurred in the area of Pölling in the municipality of St. Andrä: presumably due to aquaplaning, he left the left-hand lane with his vehicle and hit the crash barrier.

Slightly intoxicated
The car and driver came to a standstill in the middle of the road: "Immediately after the accident, three other vehicles were damaged by vehicle parts that were on both lanes," the highway police said. The man involved in the accident had to be taken to Wolfsberg Regional Hospital by ambulance with undetermined injuries - an alcohol test revealed that he was slightly drunk.

"The A2 in the direction of Vienna was closed in the accident area from 7.20 pm to 8.30 pm while the accident was being investigated. The Wolfsberg and St. Andrä fire brigades were deployed with seven vehicles and 38 men," said the police.
