KFC opens in Klagenfurt’s Art Nouveau building

The American chicken empire KFC is coming to Klagenfurt. A branch will also open in Villach in the fall.

he fast food chain Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) is also coming to Carinthia. On July 31, it opens its first branch in Kramergasse in Klagenfurt. "It's a wonderful three-storey old building from the Art Nouveau period, combined with modern offerings," enthuses Marketing Manager Agnieszka Imsirovic. The building in the pedestrian zone was built in 1906.

"We offer the KFC café on the first floor and serve Lavazzo coffee there. There are also muffins and chocolate drops. On the second floor there will be a seating area with 88 seats. That's where the famous chicken will be served." On the opening day, there will also be a separate bar on Alter Platz with free coffee, where guests can also take photos.

Finally, we are opening in Klagenfurt on July 31. The location is wonderful, the building dates back to the Art Nouveau period.

KFC is also coming to Villach
The Twister wrap is currently in demand in all branches. "The ingredients for the fresh salad bowl were produced in Austria," says Imsirovic, who is responsible for all stores in Austria and Slovakia. "We have 14 stores in Austria, and we're also opening a branch in Villach in the fall."

Colonel Sanders founded the chain, which now has 30,000 stores in 125 countries. There will be 30 employees in Klagenfurt. "We are still looking for staff," says Imsirovic.
