Fans eagerly awaited Jedermann Hochmair

Philipp Hochmair was probably the most sought-after star at the autograph session.

Just a few hours before the eagerly awaited Jedermann premiere on Saturday, the festival stars were close to the people and fulfilled autograph and photo requests from their fans. 

Rarely has a Jedermann been so eagerly awaited as this year. Philipp Hochmair 's die-hard fans in particular could hardly contain their excitement on Saturday afternoon before they were finally able to meet their star up close. For the official autograph session, a meter-long queue formed through the Grosses Festspielhaus and out into the Hofstallgasse.

Herbert Bauer traveled all the way from Styria to have a self-drawn portrait of the star signed.

Fans waited for Everyman Philipp Hochmair
"I think he's very handsome," concluded Roswitha. She was one of the first in the queue to see the new Jedermann up close. "I actually only wanted to look at him once, but we took a photo straight away," she beams.

Herbert Bauer from Styria arrived with bigger plans. "I'm a painter and want to have the portrait I drew of Philipp Hochmair signed by him." He had made the journey to the city of Mozart especially for this occasion. Even though he would have liked to stay longer: "Unfortunately, I didn't get any more tickets for the premiere," said Bauer.

After all, in addition to Jedermann Hochmair, numerous other Festival stars such as Asmik Grigorian, Peter Sellars, Violeta Urmana and many more took plenty of time for the Styrian and hundreds of other fans on site.
