Former minister Brandstetter sues governor

Hans Peter Doskozil's book is stirring up a lot of dust. Now former Minister of Justice Wolfgang Brandstetter has announced a media law suit against the SPÖ politician. It is about an "actually outrageous offer".

The reason for Brandstetter's lawsuit are the descriptions in Doskozil's book, according to which the former minister is said to have made him an "actually outrageous offer" in the housing cooperative case. The economic and corruption prosecutor's office had previously initiated an investigation into the initial suspicion of bribery against Brandstetter on the basis of the passage in the book.

Doskozil: clear up the scandal completely
Doskozil's office is relaxed about the lawsuit. The statements about the events surrounding the Tojner case are factual, truthful and well documented. The case now involves damages of well over 100 million euros, with over 30 defendants.

Doskozil's aim is to achieve the greatest possible compensation for the taxpayer and to ensure that this scandal is completely cleared up. "The governor will not be dissuaded from this path - not even by attempts to silence him," said Doskozil's office.
