Westwood widower came to the premiere in fishnet stockings

Andreas Kronthaler made his first appearance at the Salzburg Festival without his beloved Vivienne Westwood. It was his first solo performance after 30 years of marriage. And it was an impressive one.

British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood was unable to attend yesterday's premiere of "La clemenza di Tito" in person. But she would certainly have enjoyed the appearance of her widower Andreas Kronthaler! Wearing fishnet stockings and patent ballerinas, the Tyrolean native presented himself to the crowd in the Hofstallgasse.

It was the first time Kronthaler had appeared at the festival since the death of his wife in 2022. "Vivienne and I used to go to the mountain pastures in summer. It was the perfect balance to life in London. We always combined it with other local activities, such as a visit to the Salzburg Festival," said the designer in a recent interview. After 30 years of marriage, he is now continuing this tradition without his wife.

The Dichand and Drexel families also upheld the festival tradition. Even the downpour could not thwart this plan. The sun was shining in the form of "Heute" editor Eva Dichand's yellow and gold gown, designed by Nina Ricci.

Also sunny in her own creation: designer Carolin Sinemus: "A dress like this has to be able to withstand a bit of rain. You want to have a carefree time in it."

The "Glance & Glam" get-together with Porsche presentation at the Buberlgut was also a great celebration.
