Teenagers pointed a gun out of the window of a house

A major police operation took place in the city of Wels on Saturday evening. An anonymous person had sent a photo to the Dragonerstraße police station by email. It showed a person pointing a gun out of a window of an apartment building. A large-scale operation was the result.

The frightening photo immediately triggered a major alert. All police patrols available in Wels were called together, and the Rapid Intervention Group (SIG) and the Cobra task force were also alerted.

Cobra was deployed
While the patrol officers cordoned off the surrounding streets, the Cobra task force rushed to the building in question. Four teenagers (one 15-year-old and three 16-year-olds) suddenly emerged from the building. The group of teenagers were immediately stopped by the special forces.

Shot at the garbage can
During questioning, it emerged that the weapon was apparently a softgun, which the teenagers said they had used to shoot at a garbage can in the driveway. The quartet will now be charged with disturbing public order. The boys could also be charged for the costs of the operation.
