Simone Lugner: “I want to mourn in silence”

Since the death of Richard Lugner, it has been quiet around his widow Simone. On Instagram, she has now once again asked for understanding that she would like to mourn her husband, who died on August 12, in private.

Since Richard Lugner's death around two weeks ago, his widow has withdrawn from the public eye. Simone Lugner has so far refused to give any interviews about her terrible loss. She only spoke briefly about a car accident in which she was involved.

"Painful loss"
On her Instagram profile on Thursday, the 42-year-old asked her fans for their indulgence. "I want to grieve in silence and process my painful loss in peace," she explained.

She continued: "I know that some people won't understand, but for me this is exactly what my body and soul need." She thanked everyone "for your understanding", "Bee" concluded her message.

To accompany the moving words, Simone published a photo of herself and Richard Lugner together, which was probably taken during their last few weeks together.

The couple can be seen from behind; the society builder, who had recently been in poor health, had to lean on crutches.

Funeral service on August 31.
It was only on June 1 that Simone gave Richard Lugner her vows in a large wedding ceremony in the town hall. The couple actually wanted to celebrate their wedding again in October - with a church blessing in St. Stephen's Cathedral. The funeral service for Richard Lugner will take place on August 31, as the family had already announced.
