A young motorcyclist (24) unfortunately reacted too late on Sunday in the Mühlviertel region - with fatal consequences: He crashed into the car in front of him, which was braking, was thrown against its rear window and then lay injured on the side of the road.

The terrible accident happened in the midday hours of a sunny Sunday between Perg and Grein. A 28-year-old woman from Grein was driving her car on the B3 towards her home town. Behind her was a man from Amstetten (24) on his motorcycle.

The 28-year-old wanted to turn off at a petrol station, so she put on her left blinker and reduced her speed. However, the biker behind her noticed this too late: he hit the car and was thrown against the rear window of the car, which was smashed.

Two injured
The 24-year-old then came to rest next to the road. The ambulance had to treat both parties involved in the accident at the scene and then take them to hospital in Amstetten. A breathalyzer test was negative for both injured parties.
