Hunter fired at pigeon and hit a car in the process

In order to shoot a pigeon that had made itself comfortable in the attic of a 56-year-old Carinthian man in Arnodlstein, the man fired a shotgun in the direction of the animal. When the shot was fired, the sheaf of shot flew in the direction of a passing car and hit it.

As a result of the shot, the sheaf of shot from the shotgun flew in the direction of the B83 country road running past the house and hit the car of a 47-year-old woman from the district of Villach Land with around 100 shots. The vehicle was severely damaged. The driver's side window was also hit. However, it remained intact.

Fortunately, the woman was not injured. A traffic accident was avoided. A short time later, the shooter was identified by the Arnoldstein police. He confessed to the crime. 

Weapons ban issued against hunter
The man, who is also a hunter, was provisionally banned from using weapons. Several hunting weapons were seized. The public prosecutor's office in Klagenfurt filed charges.
