Fantastic winter: Slopes remain open

Ohne Reservierung gibt es im Panoramarestaurant auf der Petzen keinen Platz.

The perfect snow conditions gave the Carinthian ski resorts a really good season. There is particular jubilation on the Petzen, where record numbers have been recorded.

This winter has been fantastic, thanks in part to all the snow in January," says Franz Skuk, head of the Petzen Bergbahn. Such figures have not been seen since the ski resort was taken over in 2015.

Managing Director Hubert Ramskogler: "The optimal supply of natural snow on the mountain has also helped us to save energy." The darned seventh year, when Corona was still cutting the figures, is over. Ramskogler: "We were able to welcome over 82,000 visitors this year." That's over 30,000 more than when we took over. Compared to previous years, there was also a big increase in February. Ramskogler: "We were able to overtake previous years by more than 35 percent." The cable car is still open at weekends until Easter.

This winter season in the Nockberge mountains was a dream. Compared to 2019, we recorded an increase of over 8 percent.

Dream winter
There's no complaining on the Koralpe either. Managing Director Rudolf Kores: "The winter has been great." Open until March 26th. That's also how long the lifts on the Goldeck are open. All lift operators are talking about a dream winter.

Christopher Puntigam from Nassfeld: "We are very satisfied. We can offer optimum piste conditions until the end of the season." The lifts at Nassfeld, Katschberg and Gerlitze are open until Easter Monday, which is April 10th this year.
