Lavanttaler chases second Mr. Universum title

In April, Drescher was crowned European champion for the first time in Hungary.

It's been ten years since 35-year-old Klaus Drescher from Lavanttal won his first Mr. Universe title in amateur bodybuilding - at the age of 25 in Greece. Now he wants to do it again!

Klaus Drescher is currently in "peak week" - the final week before the upcoming competition.

Tomorrow, Saturday, the qualification for the upcoming World Championships in Italy and the Mr. Universe in Mexico will start in Aschach an der Donau (Upper Austria).

The qualifier is on Saturday! By then the form will be so killer that it will fit!

"If I win the Mr. Universe in Mexico and the World Championship in Italy after my European Championship title this year, which I won on April 29th, that would be my hat trick this year and also Austrian history! That would be really cool!"

Film career alongside bodybuilding and shift work?
Drescher already had a supporting role in a "Tatort" crime thriller as a villain in 2020. He also recently had another casting for an upcoming German movie. He can definitely imagine a career as an actor. "Let's see what happens," says Drescher with a grin. 

Bodybuilding - not just blunt "weight lifting"
 "In addition to working three shifts, strength training is my second full-time job, as I also cook 6-7 times a day in addition to my daily training, which also takes up a lot of time! Many people who don't really get to grips with this sport think that you can build up your muscles in a short time and with little effort. But that is wrong! You can think of it like a modeling competition, except that you show off the muscles you've worked hard to build over the years and decades," adds Drescher
