Drunk e-biker on the wrong track: collision with a car

Someone must have been too drunk! A drunk e-biker crashed into a car in Kirchbichl in Tyrol on Saturday evening and suffered serious injuries. The German had previously strayed too far into the middle of the road. During the braking maneuver, he lost control and crashed into the oncoming car of a Dutchman.

According to the police, the accident happened at around 6 pm. The drunk 54-year-old German was driving on Gasteigstraße in Kirchbichl coming from Bad Häring in the direction of Wörgl. In the area of a bend, the e-biker then strayed too far into the middle of the road.

The German lost control of his e-bike, skidded and crashed into the left side of the car.

"When he noticed the 35-year-old Dutchman's car approaching, he braked hard. He lost control of his e-bike, skidded and crashed into the left side of the car," said the investigators.

Taken to hospital by ambulance
The German suffered injuries. After initial treatment at the scene of the accident, he was taken to Kufstein District Hospital. The driver of the car and his female passenger (31) escaped with a scare. The car and the e-bike were damaged.
